She only saw ten years of service on the Pere Marquette Railway and the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway, six more years of storage in New Buffalo. But in 1957 the retired 1225, saved with the help of Forest Akers; Dodge Motors’s Vice President and Michigan State University Trustee, was seen here at the Wyoming Yard awaiting preparation for delivery to her new home.
