Flushing Fire Department Officers
As the Flushing Historical Society, we are proud to present this curated leadership register documenting the Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of the Flushing Fire Department from its earliest recorded officers in the late 19th century through 1985. This information is drawn entirely from departmental meeting minutes, organizational records, and compiled historical notes found in A History of the Flushing Fire Department 1893–1985.
These officers shaped the evolution of the department during eras of major growth, modernization, community engagement, and change. Their service reflects not only the operational history of the department, but also the civic spirit of Flushing itself.
