US Type Coins – A Historical Overview Presented by Ernie Nagy
The Flint Flying Eagle Coin Club is pleased to welcome Ernie Nagy for an engaging presentation on U.S. Type Coins.
Ernie is a long-time exhibitor and numismatic writer from East Lansing who is well known for sharing material that highlights both historical significance and collector interest. He currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Michigan Token, Medal and Paper Money Society and is an officer of the Lansing Coin Club.
In this presentation, Ernie will provide an overview of U.S. coin denominations, designs, and historical context spanning from the early 1800s through the twentieth century. Using a collection assembled in a Dansco United States Major Coin Types album, the talk will explore:
The evolution of U.S. coinage designs
