FRANKENMUTH, MI — The first Spirit of Michigan’s Own Awards will take place Saturday, April 29, at the Horizons Conference Center, 6200 State St. The event is held by members of the Michigan’s Military and Space Heroes Museum. The inaugural honorees are recent Medal of Honor recipient, retired Lt. Col Charles Kettles from Ypsilanti, and Stan Bozich, the founder of the Michigan’s Military and Space Heroes Museum 40 years ago.
